Function

The IT Applications Support Manager will lead the IT applications team and is responsible for the overall development and execution of business IT application support and incident management.

Key accountabilities:

  • Responsible for overall development and execution of business productions support process and incident management
  • Leads the IT applications support team
  • Works closely with the BC application teams to bring consistency in the development and the execution of IT solutions aligned to global and local business strategies
  • Working with the Center of Excellence, Infrastructure, Business and project teams to define processes and procedures to monitor systems, rapidly respond to incident tickets and provide status to management on business impact
  • Coordinating with software vendor first line support team
  • Managing vendors and coordinating regular support review meetings, to ensure SLA are being met
  • Partnership with business, PMO and other support teams to coordinate and facilitate the scheduling, incident triage and timely resolution of production issues
  • Taking lead role during ciritical management situations and organize support teams toward impact mitigation
  • Perform coordination for major problems and address issues resolution. Act as communication hub and set-up and moderate conference calls with business, PMP and vendors to address issues escalations
  • Ensure that system documentation is maintained up-to date in collaboration with the BSP and the BRM
  • Conforms to SOX rules and take actions when needed
  • Contributes to continuous improvement and implementation of best practices. Work with the project teams to ensre submitted system enhacement / changes have undergone adequate functional and volume testing before release to production
  • Report and publish metrics weekly on performance of team

Profile

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor degree in Computer Science, mathematics, engineering or relevant experience with:

  • knowledge & experience supporting ERP end enterprise software systems, preferably MS Dynamics
  • strong knowledge and experience in IT methodologies
  • ability to lead and manage teams
  • strong negotiation, influence and team work skills
  • ability to lead and work with the technical and functional teams to triage or guide triage of support calls
  • ability to effectively manage multiple assignments and priorities
  • strong commitment to customer service in all aspects of the job
  • demonstrated ability to act in support role to understand functional issues, related information technology needs and collabrate with project manager / business analyst to create solutions
  • verbal and written English and French. Other European languages are an asset
  • clear and confident communication
  • good skills to provide guidance & feedback to senior staff and management team members
