Function

The inventory controller will assist in overseeing the day-to-day transaction movement and flow of inventory within and amongst multiple stock locations with the goal of ensuring timely and accurate system records. The role holder will be largely responsible for executing daily inventory reconciliations and completing necessary system transactions in order to ensure inventory accuracy and data integrity at all times.

Main accountabiltiies areas:

  • Maintaining system synchronicity between ERP system and Distribution Center’s WMS relating to inventory daily inventory balances.
  • Reviewing/analyzing inventory on an ongoing basis to identify opportunities to rationalize and optimize inventory stocking methodology (stocking locations, occupancy rate, velocity, volume, replenishment, FIFO, unaccounted, excess / ageing, and obsolete) and work with the different stakeholders to drive improvements.
  • Investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies on a daily basis and making appropriate system and reporting adjustments to maintain Item integrity.
  • Assist in preparing inventory management reports – budgets, aging inventory, cycle count data, discrepancy and receiving reports.
  • Managing inventory discrepancy requests via service portal to support order management teams, sales, finance and supply chain.
  • Chairs weekly cadences with the Distreibution Center’s to report on and discuss inventory discrepancy issues.
  • Analyzes daily cycle count inventory reports and carry out related adjustments.
  • Executes all pre-physical count procedures and processes and actively participates in full physical year-end counts.
  • Drives and leads Inventory Management Project initiatives collaboratively with the rest of the organization.
  • Recommends and establishs best practice Inventory Control processes & procedures.
  • Reports on inventory metrics and other benchmarks and improves data integrity results quarter over quarter.

Profile

  • Strong analytical and calculative skills with a high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to manage and discern large quantities of data navigating through multiple systems in a highly dynamic and fast paced environment
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management practices
  • Ability to grasp standard operating processes and procedures and ensure compliance at all times
  • Provide gap feedback and remedy process inadequacies
  • Autonomous, self-motivated, tenacious and resourceful
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with several stakeholders
  • Fluent in English (oral and written). Any other European language is a plus
  • Strong cross-functional teamwork capabilities and communication
  • Results oriented and metrics driven performance
  • Proficient in Excel and other data mining/reporting tools as well as Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma
  • Positive attitude
