This evolution is a key enabler in supporting the growth and success of Brunswick.

In 2017, and beginning with our international businesses, we will launch the Enterprise Resource Planning Program to help modernize our business processes and support ERP transactional systems across all of our businesses. This will require the migration from current legacy systems to a modern Microsoft Dynamics ERP environment. The transformation of our processes and systems for the international marine and fitness businesses, will span a minimum of three years, and include multiple regions and countries.

To support the execution of the ERP migration within our international businesses, we are looking for our Dynamics 365 Business Intelligence Developer

Function

You provide technical expertise and direction in developing and supporting the enterprise business intelligence platform, interfacing with the various business units across the organization on their reporting and analytic needs. You are responsible for building, implementing and supporting Microsoft BI solutions that provide data, analytics, visualizations and other tools to deliver data access, trend analysis and decision support. In addition, you help to develop the corporate framework and governance to help drive business intelligence for a global audience. Primary focus is to design, develop, test, maintain, and troubleshoot complex reports, dashboards, cubes and SSIS packages, taking ownership of projects/tasks/issues and working them through completion; following defined guidelines and coding standards and meeting user requirements. You collaborate with end users using agile methodologies and provides exceptional customer service by becoming a trusted business advisor.

In addition, acting as the Dynamics 365 Security and Compliance Architect, you focus on architecting SOX compliance (Roles & Responsibilities) for Brunswick Corporation – cross divisional and takes ownership of data security technologies and practices for implementing Security Solutions within the Brunswick Group, self-managed IT structure. You assist with evaluating and establishing the information security strategy and program, with responsibilities including creating strategy, policy, meeting regulatory compliance, risk identification and mitigation, security architecture and standards.

Key Objectives & Responsibilities :

A. BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE & REPORTING

  • Support development and execution of the Brunswick Data Analytics & BI program
  • Create the strategic direction for access and delivery to critical information to business units which will drive business decisions, including a focus on a self-service analytics delivery strategy
  • Create processes for definition, application and reporting of Data Analytics metrics including program and project level KPIs
  • Responsible for program status reporting
  • Provide leadership, mentorship and ongoing development to the Business Intelligence team, focusing on the ongoing growth of individuals and maturing the overall team.
  • Participate in all phases of the development life cycle.
  • Define Reporting Standards, production support and maintenance of the BI environment, and works with the team on system performance optimization and interoperability issues.
  • Develop reporting and analytic solutions that meets business objectives and build a high level of user trust and confidence in the BI teams’ knowledge.
  • Design and develop dashboards, scorecards, charts, pivot tables, reports, and reporting systems according to business requirements
  • Determine required Microsoft business intelligence components to meet reporting requirements.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages
  • Work with business analysts and other developers on design of technical solutions
  • Estimate technical effort required to deliver assigned tasks
  • Research, recommend and develop reporting, data warehouse and data analytics solutions.
  • Coordinate across diverse stakeholders in Sales, Marketing, and IT to drive a data driven approach. This includes setting priorities, understanding business needs and technical limitations, collaborating on solutions that the BI team will enable while managing expectations from internal customers.
  • Interpret data from multiple sources and use data as the basis for business decisions
  • Package and communicate trends and insights to key stakeholders including senior leadership in a timely and effective manner
  • Interact positively and pro-actively between departments to promote a team work philosophy
  • Coordinate flow of information and assimilate data necessary to prepare required reporting
  • Partner closely with business stakeholders, business analysts, end users & developers to refine business and data capability requirements.
  • Work with the various business user and determine clear and actionable requirements from concept to implementation for new or existing reporting modules, processes, or application suite tools including but not limited to dashboards, balanced scorecards, reports, cubes, and summaries
  • Lead efforts to map requirements into extensible data warehousing structures using conceptual, logical, and physical data models with robust methodologies for data integration
  • Design, develop, test, and document structured queries, SSIS packages, jobs, cubes and reports. Provide hands-on technical development of new data warehousing solutions.
  • Implement Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes integrating data from a variety of transactional data sources into staging, relational and dimensional databases & data cubes using MS SQL Server 2012/2016 SSIS/SSAS & related tools
  • Participate in the quality checks on the completeness and accuracy of data and works with end users to follow through with associated action items. Optimize data management processes involving large complex data sets, multi-dimensional & tabular analysis cubes in support of user-exploratory analyses/reporting in Excel, Power Pivot, Power BI, SSRS reports and more
  • Proactively perform audits of data, reports, queries and tables to identify weaknesses in data integrity, reliability or technical processes
  • Perform project activities including: work planning, resource estimating, recommended issue prioritization and resolution
  • Recommend business process and/or design enhancements to management
  • Recommend technical resources and best practices on BI and enterprise data management.
  • Research and communicate answers to end-users’ questions regarding data and solutions
  • Prepare and facilitate training sessions which explain processes, data, attributes, and reports; and general query knowledge for the purposes of analysis, report development, and training
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work, including data models, data dictionaries & other artifacts in currency with corporate standards, data governance and architectures
  • Lead data development and change management on the data warehouse, ensuring overall integrity of data models & configurations
  • Develop appropriate logs, monitoring methods, and audits to ensure high availability, quality, security, scalability and performance of solutions
  • Collaborate closely with concerned parties to ensure timely resolution of data issues

B. SECURITY AND COMPLIANCE

  • Coordinate design, documentation, evaluation and testing of software processes to ensure audit procedures and internal controls for SOX compliance.
  • Development, review and updating of a company's existing compliance policy to ensure that it is up-to-date and in compliance with current standards of regulatory agencies.
  • Setting up Roles & Responsibilities including Testing to ensure SOX Compliance within all AX related standard modules, ISV Solutions and other related Software-Components
  • Assist with remediation efforts and mitigating controls.
  • Monitoring of company activities to ensure that the company's management and employees stay in line with the company's existing policies.
  • Support the Supervision Process, guide and train on SOX and internal control procedures to businesses.
  • Support the Development, review and updating of a company's existing compliance policy to ensure that it is up-to-date and in compliance with current standards of regulatory agencies.
  • Provide a consulting service, advising management on how to improve systems and processes.
  • Collaborate with the company's other departments to address issues regarding compliance violations and recommend courses of action to resolve the issues.
  • Operate in line with company policies and procedures, especially relating to quality management system, the company ethics program and the company’s health, safety and environmental policies.
  • Review and revision of the company's internal policies to prevent unethical, illegal or improper conduct within the company.

C. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accountable for properly following all IT standards, processes and methodologies as applicable including but not limited to Quality Assurance (QA), Project Management Life Cycle (PMLC) and Software Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC) and the company ethics program and the company’s health, safety and environmental policies.

Profile

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or similar Qualification gained through industry experience
  • 2 to 5 years consulting experience in business applications with focus on business modeling and software implementation including Functional and Technical System Design
  • 4+ years in MS Dynamics AX Power BI
  • 2+ full-life cycle ERP implementations
  • Certifications in Dynamics 365/Microsoft Dynamics AX preferred
  • MCSE: Business Intelligence Solution Expert certification or equivalent certification a plus

Familiar and experienced in:

  • Experience and proficiency with Microsoft development environments and tools including Visual Studio, SSMS (SQL Server Management Studio), TFS, VSTS
  • Experience with developing/optimizing complex queries and interpreting execution plans
  • Experience with SSAS DAX scripting for tabular data cube management
  • Experience with preparing and publishing Meta Data and Data Dictionaries in support of Corporate Data Governance
  • Understanding of solution delivery methods via Modern BI Tools including Power BI, SSRS, Power Pivot, Excel automations
  • Ability to understand, communicate, interpret client business processes and requirements
  • MS Dynamics 365 experience, preferred
