As EMEA Tax Director, you are responsible for keeping businesses compliant with various tax regulations that are relevant. You implement measures and develop policies for dealing with various areas relating to taxes. You perform estimations, analysis, planning, and research and oversees tax related audits.

Key Objectives & Responsibilities:

  • You ensure statutory requirements and relevant direct and indirect tax filing obligations are accurately and timely satisfied for all EMEA countries, with external advisors and Brunswick Corporation tax department (BC Tax)

- Coordinate the preparation and review of income tax returns in EMEA including Belgium, France, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Germany and Luxembourg and liaise with fiscal and legal authorities and provide assistance to external advisors for all other countries’ income tax preparation with BC Tax.

- Oversee European VAT rules application (including VAT returns and local Taxes). Ensures EU VAT and Intra-Community rules and transactions are accurately implemented and followed including SAF-T requirements (mandatory for VAT & CIT Audits).

- Responsible for coordinating responses to internal and external tax audits (including income tax, indirect tax, VAT and local taxes).

  • You are responsible for Transfer Pricing with BC Tax including the collection of supporting business data, implementation of Transfer Pricing methodology and review of annual Transfer Pricing documentation prepared by external advisors. This includes compliance with BEPS and other new developments in the OECD. You conduct and support TP Audits where required.
  • With business Finance resources and BC Tax, you ensure tax balances on general ledgers are accurate monthly and that annual RTP process is complete.
  • You ensure compliance with and implementation of new local country tax legislation and Tax Rulings with relevant Governmental offices.
  • You liaise with divisions / Business units to understand actual financial results, strategies and growth targets (outputs from Business reviews, Forecast and Budget cycles) and provide fiscal guidance.
  • You Identify and mitigate tax risks as part of BC Tax team.
  • You support and look for continued process improvements and simplification consistent with internal controls and SOX compliance.
  • You operate in line with company policies and procedures, especially in relation to quality management system, the company ethics program and the company’s health, safety and environmental policies


The ideal candidate owns a degree in Taxation or Accounting or Finance with an emphasis on Tax and has at least 10 years postgraduate experience in accounting and tax (preferably Big 4 Experience) with a US multinational in an International environment.

S/he has a strong US GAAP knowledge, familiarity with Transfer Pricing and VAT, and is able to identify tax issues and to apply tax law to business circumstances.

Having excellent communication and negotiation skills, the candidate will be able to support Company’s position with adverse tax authorities. Candidate is expected to demonstrate strong analytical mind and attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills and stress-resistance, as well as the ability to successfully drive initiatives and change as part of a team and cross-functionally, with good project management skills. The ideal candidate is very well organized and able to work independently, collaborating when necessary.


  • English: fluent (both written and verbal)
