Function

Brunswick is now looking for a Material Planner for the European Boat Group, based in Vila Nova de Cerveira, Portugal.

The Material Planner will be responsible for planning, scheduling and monitoring inbound movement of materials from suppliers, ensuring materials are available to execute the production plan and optimizing inventory levels and transport costs.

Key Objectives & Responsibilities:
1. Manage flow of materials and stock levels
2. Manage the relationship with suppliers and other external entities
3. Participate in the development of new products
4. Manage MRP
5. Manage non-conformities.

Profile

The ideal candidate will have a High School degree, preferably a degree in Logistic or similar areas.

For this position it is critical to have, at least, 3 years of practical knowledge of industry/production environments in similar positions, in purchasing and negotiation, combined with high analytical problem solving and time management skills.

Having a proactive attitude, candidates will be expected to have an internal customer oriented attitude, the ability to work in a multinational environment, excellent sense of organization and communication and the ability to multitask.

Fluency in English (written and verbal) is essential for this role, as well as good skills in Excel and proficiency in AS400/MRP system will be an add value.
