Function

As IT Application Support Specialist, you are responsible for the daily management of IT Issues related to the Warehouse Management System (WMS).

Key Objectives & Responsibilities:

  • You provide post implementation support (1st and 2nd level) for WMS IT issues
  • You analyze IT requests received for validity and priorization.
  • You troubleshoot and resolve the WMS IT issue; follow IT monitoring and act to avoid impact on DC operation.
  • You manage the IT support activity by priority
  • You record and implement changes in ticketing system (ServiceNow) in line with GITC process (SOX)
  • You provide answers to DC key user by identifying issue impact and remediation duration;
  • You escalate to next level of support via the Ticket System
  • You improve IT operation knowledge & efficiency by writing and maintaining documentation.
  • You improve the system capability by helping identifying problems and recommending changes
  • You operate in line with company policies and procedures, especially relating to quality management system, the company ethics program and the company’s health, safety and environmental policies.

Profile

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree, preferably in IT, and has a previous experience in an IT Application support function.

S/he has a good knowledge of MS SQL Technology and is familiar with IT operational model: event/incident/problem/change mgt (ITIL). A knowledge of supply chain, logistics or Distribution operations and systems is a plus.

In addition to a strong customer-oriented mindset, candidate is expected to have excellent problem-solving skills required to overcome unforeseen challenges quickly and effectively, excellent communication skills and a strong ability to understand business processes, make correction to the supporting systems, and be able to communicate this to both technical and non-technical audiences.

The ability to work effectively as team member and individually across various functions and organizations is a key requirement.

Fluency in English and French is essential for this role.
