The Accounting & Governance Manager EMEA ensures the timely and accurate reporting of BME accounting records in accordance with the US GAAP and Brunswick accounting policies.


  • Ensures that the day-to-day accounting operations of entities under the Brunswick Marine in EMEA structure are performed in accordance with established Brunswick accounting policies (US Gaap).
  • Develops, reviews and improves Financial Processes in compliance with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) and established accounting policies.
  • Is accountable for the timely and accurate completion of following tasks:
    o Balance Sheet reconciliations
    o General Ledger entries
    o Clearing accounts movements
    o Inventory follow-up
    o Ad hoc questions or reports (Internal or Brunswick)
  • Manages the closing operations for the group (Journal entries, Inter Company reconciliations) up to the reporting through Longview.
  • Leads Business Governance / Compliance efforts across EMEA:
    - Ensures Risk Control Matrix are updated annually before Internal Audit
    - Reviews business processes, identifes and acts upon opportunities to deliver continuous improvement
    - Ensures Compliance system is timely completed for EMEA by all control owners
    - Leads SOX enhancement projects across EMEA
    - Ensures Internal Audit receives all needed information for their annual audit
  • Acts as primary contact with internal and external auditors. Ensures all possible issues are communicated timely in order to avoid any surprises. Develops acting plans to resolve identified deficiencies.
  • Provides support to the following functions / leaders:
     VP CFO
     Tax Director
     BU’s director
     FP&A department
     Internal / External Audits
  • Leads the accounting team and develop the team’s skills including remote EMEA locations.


You are a bright, creative, and talented individual who enjoys working with some of the world's greatest brands, in an environment that blends cultural, multi-lingual with:

  • A degree in Accounting and/or Finance or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of experience in acn accouting, controlling or audit within an International environment
  • Experience to lead a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Fluent in English (both written and verbal), any other European language is an asset
  • Ability to understand, communicate, interpret processes and requirements
  • Strong US GAAP knowledge
  • Strong Excel knowledge
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Resistant to stress and deadlines
