The EU Franchise Development Manager serves an integral role in the successful development and growth of Freedom’s franchise partners, including the adoption of Brunswick product into their operations. Focused on optimizing the franchise side of the business, this individual will have broad responsibilities to optimize new and existing franchise business growth and profitability.

Main accountabilities:

  • Overall – Serve as the primary liaison between Freedom and a select group of franchise partners, helping to achieve organizational goals in an effective, constructive, and productive manner with franchise partners.
  • Territory Development – Become the Freedom expert in the assigned geography for boat club market opportunities and competition. This role will serve as a catalyst for growth a) by selling all remaining open territories and b) by supporting existing franchisees grow membership and satellite locations, ultimately fully exploiting the market opportunity within their geography.
  • Franchise Business Services – Serve as promoter and delivery mechanism of any/all Shared Services (once created/offered) that add value to franchisee’s operation.
  • All Franchisees:
    • Maintain master check lists and procedures for franchise development best practices using our FranConnect CRM system
    • Ensure FBC franchisees adhere to best practices and brand standards through training, site visits and audits.
    • Assist FBC in analyzing current SOP’s/best practices for all facets of an FBC franchise and working on improvements, if and when necessary
    • Responsible for creation, updating and communication of training manuals, best practices and brand standards manual
  • New Franchisees – Track and improve the time from franchise contract signing to first membership sales to profitability
  • Build Relationships – Maintain effective and constructive lines of communication with franchise partners and all other key stakeholders. Bridge gaps between parties to most effectively carry out overall organizational goals.
  • The role may require travel sporadically to meet with franchisees, boat/engine brands, etc. in order to accurately maintain current working knowledge of consumer needs and product offerings. This may also include boat shows, dealer events, consumer focus group events, and other ad hoc travel as needed.


You are a bright, creative, and talented individual who enjoys working with some of the world's greatest brands, in an environment that blends cultural, multi-lingual, and ethnic backgrounds, with:

  • a University Degree in business, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in marine industry operations, boat clubs and other related fields
  • proven experience with training, developing strong relationships, and consistent follow up
  • well-organized, self-motivated, assertive, tenacious by nature, and flexible; willing to accept new responsibilities and grow within role as required
  • excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • demonstrated interpersonal skills with an ability to resolve issues quickly and effectively through established channels
  • ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time with ease by employing strong organizational skills
  • proficiency in PC-based software including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • strong written and oral English language skills required. French, Spanish, and/or Italian languages would be beneficial.
