The role is to provide Technical support for OEM accounts

  • Support OEM’s with technical information and advice. Conduct pilot installations and performance testing. Implementation of existing service programs and computer-aided tools designed to achieve proper service of the products sold by Brunswick. Build relationships with OEM and related dealers (technicians and service managers) that will allow Brunswick to set new service standards and policies. Support OEM’s and related dealers on complex technical problems. Being able to diagnose and analyse product and service-related problems. Report quality problems to the quality coordinator.
  • Plan and execute technical training covering installation, PDI, performance testing, EPC, LEARN, ordering, PDI & warranty registration and End of Line tests for OEM’s and administrate technical passports for OEM’s technicians.
  • Build BOM lists for OEM models in order to suit the objectives.
  • Participate in department meetings and take part in department planning and priorities. Co-operate with Brunswick internationally when needed. Communicate planning and visit reports on a weekly basis. Manage the timelines and be able to communicate regular updates to the timeline.
  • Warranty handling and warranty claim report training in order to identify training needs and/or possible product improvements.
  • Coordinate the OEM efforts within the assigned territory in order to drive potential OEM partnerships; plan and develop sales and service towards OEM. Seek and investigate potential new OEM customers within an assigned territory in order to increase the Mercury Marine business.
  • Actively manage OEM’s dealers’ relationships in order to drive increased brand loyalty and sales for OEM and Mercury.
  • Actively promote products and features to existing, new and prospective OEM’s, to motivate and drive OEM interest and desire for the brands.
  • Maintain knowledge of the overall marine market including market forces, consumer trends, product trends, growth trends, and regional national/differences with the goal of identifying revenue growth opportunities. Maintain knowledge of existing product portfolio performance and trends including wholesale sales, retail sales, pipeline, competitors.
  • Identifying the resolving issues with the OEM’s that are affecting retail performance, profitability or customer satisfaction and where appropriate, drive corrective actions with the support of the other Brunswick teams (Sales Admin, After Sales, Marketing, Finance etc) and feed this information when appropriate internally and to the OEM’s to ensure product and sales development.
  • To operate in line with company policies and procedures, especially relating to quality management system, the company ethics program and the company’s health, safety and environmental policies
  • The responsibilities above are not an exhaustive list of job requirements, and the role holder will be required to perform tasks that are commensurate with the role and maybe deemed reasonable by the Company.
  • Support the Brunswick After Market department when necessary (i.e. during peak periods and vacation period).
  • To provide application engineering support to Poland based OEM production entities and assist the responsible OEM sales teams responsible for the customer accounts;

- minimum of 5 years of field service experience in a company with a dealer network structure

- technical background and experience is mandatory, especially in the mechanics and electronics
